Introduction

It has been suggested by several readers of these pages and by some of the practitioners that I offer my services to the public in general, and cancer patients in particular. My qualifications for offering these services vary according to the service provided.

For guided imagery, my qualifications include a Doctor of Divinity from the Mental Science Institute for course work and internships in 1973 and 1974. I learned how to guide people to a deep space of relaxation, having trained over 250 people since then. My teacher, Father Eli, claimed to have taught Jose Silva, Werner Erhardt and L. Ron Hubbard in his long career.

For the enneagram, I became a certified teacher of the enneagram In the Oral Tradition with Helen Palmer. As such, I am qualified to do enneagram typing interview, lectures, and workshops. I have also written a book, which I publish called The Essential Child, which is available through this web site.

For zero balancing, I trained with Fritz Smith, O. D. in 1974-1976. I took workshops with Fritz and had practice intern sessions with several of my colleagues.

Mindfulness and ART in Healing

Gail Teehan and I have teamed up to create this wonderful worshop! It combines mindfulness as a healing practice with guided imagery, movement, and various forms of creative activity to encourage a powerful healing energy to evolve from within. Consultations are available for $72 per hour on an as needed basis. I will help you formulate a plan for your treatment and guide you through the resources available on the internet. Guided Imagery

Guided imagery is a process of deep relaxation combined with the ability to report on the experiences you are having from that deep space. Deep relaxation can be learned in one single lesson, according to my methods. From the space of deep relaxation, you can proceed to visualize things getting better in your life, and tune into your true desires. Relaxation combined with visualization and desire can change your life for the better and bring a sense of calmness, safety, and security to you.

A guided imagery session lasts anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour, depending on what we're trying to accomplish. It is often useful to bring a tape recorder and record the session for later review. It is also very helpful to write down any important information that you have gained from the session in a diary.

Guided imagery sessions are administered for a fee of $72. Under optimal circumstances, the session may include bliss healing, as described elsewhere. The price includes adequate time for reorientation to present time from the imagery, and a chance for you to give feedback.

Enneagram

The enneagram is a nine sided diagram that represents nine different personality types. According to my teacher, Helen Palmer, these are
1. The Perfectionist
2. The Giver
3. The Performer
4. The Romantic
5. The Observer
6. The Devil's Advocate
7. The Epicure
8. The Boss
9. The Mediator
Each type has its own preoccupations of heart and mind. The goal of learning about your enneagram type is to be aware of these preoccupations and transform them into their higher aspects. A typing interview is one way to learn about your enneagram type, but seeing actual exemplars speaking about their types represents a much better way. Therefore, we offer typing interviews and workshops with exemplars of the various types to help you choose your type.

Typing interview are available for $72 for about an hour to an hour and a half session. The price includes an opportunity for feedback, and a discussion of the results. Note that the purpose of a typing interview is to narrow the chose down to perhaps two or three different types, with further work on your part based on self-observation practices to come up your actual type. It's fun to do and I'm sure you'll find it quite enjoyable.

The Essential Child is a book I have written to encourage better relationships between fathers and their children, although mothers will also find great benefit. The book utilizes the enneagram as the means of understanding your behavior, the behavior of your children, and the interactions between you, your spouse or significant other, and the children. The book is available by email as a Microsoft Word document or plain ASCII text, or on hard copy. The email version sells for $9.00, while the hard copy version sells for $18.00. Zero Balancing

Zero balancing is a type of body work which attempts to balance the energy flow throughout the spine and improve the respiratory systems as it does so. During a zero balancing session, you are likely to feel tension spots just melting away, as if butter were being melted in a hot skillet.

I have been using zero balancing on my friends and family for over twenty years. On recent experience was quite remarkable. This involved the son of my brother-in-laws' sister at my sister's wedding. The boy woke up in the morning with a stiff neck and felt really badly. When I saw his obvious pain, I knew I could help relieve his pain by using zero balancing techniques. I lied him down on a bench in the waiting room of the garden where the wedding was being held and applied my healing fingers to his neck and upper back. It was difficult to know just how much pressure to apply, especially with his parents and grandmother looking on. But after a few minutes, he opened up to my treatment and was able to enjoy the wedding ceremony without too many complaints. Just before the meal was served, I applied another treatment which cured him for the day, and in a recent card from his grandmother, he has had no further problems.
